PODERE 43 comes to life from the transformation of the latifundium into small plots following the agrarian reform, immediately after the Second World War and preserves its original name.
Over the years, passed from generation to generation, it has been completely renovated maintaining the ancient aesthetic standards such as high ceilings and curious skylights to channel light and air, preserving the atmosphere of the serenity of the countryside. In 2018 the new part was added with the construction of 5 rooms in compliance with the landscaping standards, preserving the vocation to live the countryside in relaxation and conviviality.

Our 3x14 meter pool was built with a fond memory in mind.
As a child, I often spent time in the summer with my maternal grandparents, and on the long, hot afternoons, my grandfather, who worked at the brokerage firm, would take me with him to the countryside. My grandfather would pick chicory, bundle it into large bundles, and immerse it in the "pilune," a Lecce stone basin filled with freezing water from the well, to prevent it from exuding "milk," which would have given it a bitter taste and ruined the sale the following morning. This was my pool! My fondest memories of simple afternoons.
When I had to build the pool, I recreated that image, recalling a time when everything was simple and little was enough.
Furthermore, this long, narrow shape allows for swimming, and its length connects the old part of the farm with the new construction built in 2018.

The olive grove with young Leccino trees frames the western side of Podere43, right where you can enjoy unforgettable afternoon sunsets.
Children's Policy
Podere43 is an adult-only accommodation. Children 12 and older may stay at the farm if accompanied by an adult and under their responsibility. Cribs and extra beds are not available. The maximum occupancy per room is 2 (double room) or 3 (triple room).
